Centennial Campaign

  • At 100 years old, Alpha Gamma Rho has made an indelible mark on North Dakota State University and the greater agriculture and food industry. As an alumnus, you are intimately involved in this proud and remarkable story.

    It’s hard to believe that just a decade ago is was uncertain whether Epsilon would be on rock-solid ground or faltering on the brink of irrelevance at the time of our centennial. We’re happy to say that with the sweat equity and charitable support of 40% of Epsilon alumni, our chapter house is again a model for superior student housing at NDSU. Our scholarship program, targeted at both new members and upperclassmen, has helped increase our house GPA by nearly a half-point in 6 years. And we now have the footprint for at least 50% our undergraduates to park their vehicles close to the chapter house.

    But our future is not a given. Like any business – start-up or multi-generational – we are a work in progress. The time is ripe to invest in:

    • Landscaping ($100,000) to enhance the beauty, outdoor use and visibility of our valuable property (see the concept below);
    • Additional scholarship opportunities ($25,000) to reward and encourage more brothers to pursue classroom excellence and campus leadership opportunities;
    • A permanent parking solution ($50,000) so all brothers and guests can be accommodated at our home-away-from-home.

    Please consider how you can make a meaningful contribution to the chapter’s centennial campaign.   Already over one-third of the $175,000 goal has been pledged. A gift form can be found here for your use. Looking at the donor roster, 95% of contributors to date also participated in our highly successful 2nd Century effort. Their commitment to AGR as leaders and donors is inspiring. As you will note from the donor roster, over 60 brothers have answered the call and one-third of the goal is pledged! With your support, we hope to finalize this vision in 2014.

    Our mission to make better men for a broader and better agriculture is as relevant today as it was at the time of our founding in 1913. By participating in this centennial opportunity you will help ensure Epsilon’s legacy for years to come.   If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
